Lisa is a south Bay Area, California native who, ever since childhood, has enjoyed everything related to nature. Lisa became the new owner of the Los Gatos Birdwatcher on December 1, 2015 upon John & Freddy Howell’s retirement from twenty successful years of bringing the bird world to our local South Bay community. Lisa’s tour business, Let’s Go Birding, is now the birding tour division of the Los Gatos Birdwatcher.

Throughout Lisa’s adventures she strives to provide fun and exciting experiences in the field and classroom while introducing people to the many organizations dedicated to environmental awareness & education. She leads Let’s Go Birding tours throughout northern California as well as Central American hotspots including Costa Rica, Panama, and Belize. Lisa also leads tours and conducts workshops and classes for area non-profits like the San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory, Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society, Palo Alto Adult School and the Los Gatos Birdwatcher.
