We bring fun and educational events to you throughout the year.
BIRD ID WORKSHOPS
These free workshops are open to all levels and help customers learn how to identify four different species of birds per season. We’ll review each species’ behaviors, food and habitat preferences plus species vocalizations. Workshops will take place at the Los Gatos Birdwatcher outside in our back parking lot, so please bring your own chair and field guide. Limited to 30 people. WERC STORE VISIT & FUNDRAISER–May 7, 2022
Volunteers from the Wildlife Education and Rehabilitation Center return to the Los Gatos Birdwatcher. Come down to the store to meet volunteers from WERC and their ambassador birds, ask questions, and learn about several different species of birds. WERC is a local nonprofit dedicated to helping sick, injured, and orphaned native wildlife. We appreciate all they do for wildlife. Donations welcomed. MEET THE AUTHOR–Feb 23, 2022
Internationally acclaimed author, birder, and photographer, Richard Crossley, is making a special trip to the Bay Area and the Los Gatos Birdwatcher! We invite you to come by and meet him, talk about birding, his ID guides, or anything else you might like to discuss with Richard. We will have two presentations at 2 pm and 6 pm. His field guides and books are sold at the store.
